A Short Runaway, to Malacca.

Now that everyone in the family has grown up, even the youngest one has just finished her secondary school life and that the brother has gotten a girlfriend, we siblings leaving home for a short vacation is not as hard as it used to be before.

Have been hectic ever since the first semester of my Degree year 3 started. Submitted the second last assignment and now I have some time to breathe.

And, so, the eldest sister organized a trip together.

Randomly saw a cat on the Jonker Street.

I am waiting for the next trip, hopefully somewhere farther away, not in Malaysia.

Until then,
♥ CC.

p/s: btw, our dear Brownie, has passed away months ago, due to bacteria infection, most probably from the rats. I hate rats.

A New Life.

If you say change is never ending, so does life.

Life never stops to bloom; when one ends, another one begins.
It's a repetitive and iterative process, never ceases.

Hence, life is hope.

So here come a new life, a new member to the Liew's family :  BROWNIE . :3

May you grow up healthily and welcome. <3

Until then,

Singapore 4D3N Trip 2013

A 4D3N trip with the sheep and LGW.

The itinerary is as below :
Orchard Road
Sentosa
Universal Studio Singapore
Bugis

We fully utilized the SMRT throughout the whole trip and I have gotta say the SMRT is awesome! Basically travelling in SG without a car is not a concern at all with the SMRT, all you gotta do is to purchase an EZ card.

I have to specially state this :
THANK YOU, to LGW for the planning and guiding and paying and a lot a lot more. I can't express my gratitude to you with only words, but sincerely, thank you so so much. : >

THANK YOU, to his sister and brother-in-law for allowing us to stay at their place at Toa Payoh. : >

Okay, it's picture time!

I am sorta satisfied with the outcomes, especially those taken @ Sentosa.

Let's Gooooooooo~

DAY 1:
A clean country.
with dedicated citizens.
Old men gathering into groups playing games spotted around Toa Payoh.
The brother-in-law who is an artist that is very fond to collectibles. Well, this is just a small portion of the entire collection!

DAY 2 :
Such a cool Japanese kiddo spotted in the train to Sentosa.
Mermaid : D
On the Skyride Luge.
Free me; Release me.
The lovey dovey parrots.
The foreveralone bird?
They have the colours that make the gardens and skies prettier.
Serenity.
The attraction.
The predator and the prey.
Green leaves; Green shadow.
Get out of the sun, if your skin tone matches this sign.
The sheep, on the beach tram heading back to the entrance of Sentosa.

DAY 3 :
The USS ! :目
The last photo to end this blog post :

Kindship, is what matters.

A Morning @ FRIM

Spent today's morning at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia, better known as the FRIM with my friends for a photography session and some slight exercise ( walking? Hehe ) .

It's also the day for me to learn to use my new lens! : )

Though the outcome is not up to expectation and less productive but here's some shots :

The Butterfly leaf ?
Huge tree with multiple trunks and roots.

Here comes my favourite photo of the day :
The gradient.

Btw, I gotta thank Cruxie for the new watermark there, thank you !
(^_^)Y

Hmm, nothing much, hope I'll get to master the new lens before flying to Singapore few weeks later!

Until then,

Bukit Bintang Morning Market

Joined Aunty Mahlee, Uncle Woon and Mun Yen for breakfast today @ Pasar Bukit Bintang.

As its name implies it is a morning market but if you explore deeper there are food stalls inside. Overall it's quite a good place to have breakfast but one piece of advice: be there earlier.

The place is jam packed to capacity!

Oh the egg tarts there is a must-try, thumbs up!

The Originals & Bamboo Charcoals.

Took some photos teehee~ :

Chee Cheong Fun in red sauce, Sisters Crispy Popiah & 2 kinds of Roti Bakar.

The famous Sisters Crispy Popiah.

Favourite photo of the day :
Uncle selling 'roti bakar' a.k.a toasted bread with bakkwa.

Grid Lines & Structure.

In our lives we are all bound to abide and oblige to rules and regulations, more or less, living in a frame,  placed and segmented into grids and structures, being told what to do and what not to.
"Just do as you're told!", they said.

In time, people get tired of straight lines.

Yet, unarguably some find themselves more comfortable to live according to what they have been told.

Some say they do not want to be mainstream, they do not want to be stifled and chained by the rules. So they go sideways, but not straight all the way.

This society we are living in, has fixed perceptions for almost everything ; what we called "ethics" - the standards of right and wrong. That is what formed the norm, and that contributes to something we called "culture".

Yes, you should live to follow the grids and lines and structure and what not, to be accepted as part of the society, at least that is what I think.

Who says it's going to be so dead following them? You live by the rules, but you do not live within the rules.

Guitar makes sound by firstly, pressing on the correct strings and frets, tight and hard, then the another hand strums or picks on the sound hole, playing sounds and creating rhythms.

There, you play music and music is boundaryless.

p/s : The picture above, is part of the fret board of my Yamaha's. Did it confuse you in the very first place? : p

Guitar is ♥

I think I'd found another piece that could help me complete my life's jigsaw puzzle: GUITAR.

It's acoustic, and I love it, especially Yamaha's that sounds somber and down and deep.

Nonetheless this is my BLUE guitar, it Morrison's.
: >

and yes I already have one why get another one?

Because I just want to have a blue one.

Got it at a cheaper price and it sounds comparatively cheerier and brighter yet I personally favours Yamaha's Zen series more. ( ^_^ )Y

Here's my blue guitar ♥

Strum colours into life; Pluck memories out of life.

Lukut + Port Dickson 2D1N Trip

Perhaps a farewell trip to the fish SP Tan?
The very free-and-easy failed style planner and organizer! :p

Considered as a short vacation with the secondary school mates to temporarily escape from the suffocating environment back here in KL.

Nice stay at The Guest Hotel & Spa, we hit the gym directly upon arrival and early in the morning of the next day before heading for hotel breakfast.

Superb facility I have gotta admit that! Gym room, sauna, steambath, jacuzzi and the pool!

Here here, photo from my instagram of the hotel breakfast:

Now into the main topic, the part where the photos talk.
: >

Well oh well, here's the planner and the organizer, the main character of this trip.
Farewell incy vincy spider, go to Aussie and come back as a brand new person, with an Aussie bf aye aye?!

A photo taken at the fun fair @ Waterfront after dinner:

Enjoyed every single moment spent together with this bunch of girls, lotsa laughter lotsa fun.
We shall do this again, when all others who are studying abroad come back.
:))

All the best everyone, we will survive.
All iz Well! Teehee~

Until then,

2D1N Trip to Malacca 2013

Very impulsive decision to go for a vacation with the Sheep to Malacca.
Met up at Nilai KTM station and then here we go!

Photos talk :

Malacca? Satay celup!

Lights, reflections & illuminations.

Sniffing the red air of the CNY.
One pleasant night at Hotel Puri, then here comes the rising sun of the next day, and then the falling rain for the rest of the day.

ITENARY:
~ Hotel breakfast
~ Check out
~ One Bite Durian Puff
~ Straits Chinese Jewelry Museum
~ Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Ball
~ Nyonya & Durian cendol
~ Walk, walk & walk...

Getting ready to go!

One Bite Durian Puff.
There are 2 different cream puffs: yogurt & durian.
Both are sinfully creamy, tasty and cheap.
You won't wanna miss this!
: >

To the museum we go.

Space-saving, even when the house is humongous.

The well: a necessity.
Built somewhere in the middle of the house that is open air with sun beams straight from the above.

Hey, look up when you're down.
: >

When the Sheep meets the Monkey.
Photo credits to the guide who loves to help us take photos. Thank you so much and so sorry that I've forgotten your name.
Definitely one of the best guides out there!

Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Ball.

...and some cendols to satisfy the sweet tooth of course.
Y(^_^)Y
 Street photographs:

This house has been firmly standing on that piece of ground for a history of more than a hundred years.

Houses are decorated with the elements of red and spring festival couplets in anticipation of the CNY.

One last photo to end the post:
: >

Happy Chinese New Year~
Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Until then,
